I am looking for photos of the external of the Sleeper Lounge cars in their original INTERCITY swallow livery
I have been looking for several days now, but still nothing Any and all help appreciated |

Are you sure they ran in IC livery? I think (not 100% sure) they went straight into ScotRail livery on conversion.

Yes they were all originally in INTERCITY swallow livery, you can tell by the interiors!
They were converted at the same time as the RFO, also INTERCITY swallow livery Just before their introduction on sleeper services, converted from Mark 2F FO in 1987, 6700 was on static display in Platform 2 at Glasgow Central On privitisation with ScotRail they were reclassified from RLO to RLB ScotRail did away with the Mark 2 SO coaches and Mark 1 BG, replacing those with BUO and those went straight into service in ScotRail livery Here is one photo, but it's not clear enough for modelling purposes, the RLO is directly behind the loco : http://www.railbrit.co.uk/imageenlar...2.php?id=22007 Last edited by rail-britain; 7th February 2010 at 18:45. |
